This wisdom is aimed at me just as much as anyone else. Put God first chronologically and in order of importance. Put Him first in our prayers, our thoughts, our words, our actions and our priorities. He must never be in second place and we must never put ourselves in first place.
Matthew 6:33 But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you.
Genesis 1:1a In the beginning God . . .
Psalms 90:2 Before the mountains were brought forth, or ever thou hadst formed the earth and the world, even from everlasting to everlasting, thou art God.
Revelation 22:13 I am Alpha and Omega, the beginning and the end, the first and the last.
It is also a wonderful truth that God put us first in the order of His creation.
Ephesian 1:4 According as he hath chosen us in him before the foundation of the world, that we should be holy and without blame before him in love:
2 Timothy 1:9 Who hath saved us, and called us with an holy calling, not according to our works, but according to his own purpose and grace, which was given us in Christ Jesus before the world began,
Titus 1:2 In hope of eternal life, which God, that cannot lie, promised before the world began;
1 Peter 1:20 Who verily was foreordained before the foundation of the world, but was manifest in these last times for you,
He gave us the greatest honors and privileges. He created us in His image, He made us His children and promises to make us like Him and perfect.
Genesis 1:27 So God created man in his own image, in the image of God created he him; male and female created he them.
1 John 3:2 Beloved, now are we the sons of God, and it doth not yet appear what we shall be: but we know that, when he shall appear, we shall be like him; for we shall see him as he is.
1 Peter 5:10 But the God of all grace, who hath called us unto his eternal glory by Christ Jesus, after that ye have suffered a while, make you perfect, stablish, strengthen, settle you.
One day He will create a new Heaven and a new earth for us to live in.
Revelation 21:1 And I saw a new heaven and a new earth: for the first heaven and the first earth were passed away; and there was no more sea.
And I haven’t even mentioned the fact that in the middle of it all He sent Jesus to die for our sins.
