The Joy of the Lord and the strength of the Lord should both be active in the life of every Christian.
Nehemiah 8:10 Then he said unto them, Go your way, eat the fat, and drink the sweet, and send portions unto them for whom nothing is prepared: for this day is holy unto our Lord: neither be ye sorry; for the joy of the LORD is your strength.
The joy of the Lord and the strength of the Lord are vital to every Christian’s ability to serve Him fruitfully.
Galatians 5:22 But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, gentleness, goodness, faith,
John 16:22 And ye now therefore have sorrow: but I will see you again, and your heart shall rejoice, and your joy no man taketh from you.
Psalms 21:1 The king shall joy in thy strength, O LORD; and in thy salvation how greatly shall he rejoice!
If they allow others to take away their joy they also allow them to take away their strength. No man can take away a Christians strength but he can foolishly give it away. When Christians are filled with the Spirit they should also be filled with joy.
