Even In Laughter

Proverbs 14:13 Even in laughter the heart is sorrowful; and the end of that mirth is heaviness.

This describes the laughter of an unbeliever. It should not describe the joy of someone who can be filled with the Spirit and on the way to Heaven.

Romans 8:28 And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to his purpose.

Nehemiah 8:10 Then he said unto them, Go your way, eat the fat, and drink the sweet, and send portions unto them for whom nothing is prepared: for this day is holy unto our Lord: neither be ye sorry; for the joy of the LORD is your strength.

Habakuk 3:18 Yet I will rejoice in the LORD, I will joy in the God of my salvation.

John 15:11 These things have I spoken unto you, that my joy might remain in you, and that your joy might be full. 16:24 Hitherto have ye asked nothing in my name: ask, and ye shall receive, that your joy may be full.

Acts 20:24 But none of these things move me, neither count I my life dear unto myself, so that I might finish my course with joy, and the ministry, which I have received of the Lord Jesus, to testify the gospel of the grace of God.

Philippians 2:2 Fulfil ye my joy, that ye be likeminded, having the same love, being of one accord, of one mind.

Philemon 1:20 Yea, brother, let me have joy of thee in the Lord: refresh my bowels in the Lord.

James 1:2 My brethren, count it all joy when ye fall into divers temptations;

3 John 1:4 I have no greater joy than to hear that my children walk in truth.
