“God has a special, particular will for you whether you are a missionary, secretary, pastor or plumber!” – Adrian Rogers. The greatest blessings are in God’s will for your life. Are you willing to live in it?
Notice that the Apostle Paul first asked the Lord who He was, Jesus identified Himself, and then Paul asked “What wilt thou have me to do?” God only gave Paul one simple instruction at first. If Paul had not obeyed he would not have gotten to the place where he would learn what the next step/steps would be. Somehow Paul learned about Jesus that He was to be obeyed. Somehow I knew the moment I trusted Christ that I must obey Him too. EACH AND EVERY ONE OF US needs to find out who God is, that He must be obeyed, where He wants us to go and what He wants us to do. Since I trusted Him I have learned that His will for me is far better than my own.
Acts 9:3 And as he journeyed, he came near Damascus: and suddenly there shined round about him a light from heaven: 4 And he fell to the earth, and heard a voice saying unto him, Saul, Saul, why persecutest thou me? 5 And he said, Who art thou, Lord? And the Lord said, I am Jesus whom thou persecutest: it is hard for thee to kick against the pricks. 6 And he trembling and astonished said, Lord, what wilt thou have me to do? And the Lord said unto him, Arise, and go into the city, and it shall be told thee what thou must do.

Psalms 23:2 He maketh me to lie down in green pastures: he leadeth me beside the still waters. 3 He restoreth my soul: he leadeth me in the paths of righteousness for his name's sake.
Psalms 32:8 I will instruct thee and teach thee in the way which thou shalt go: I will guide thee with mine eye.

Isaiah 58:10 And if thou draw out thy soul to the hungry, and satisfy the afflicted soul; then shall thy light rise in obscurity, and thy darkness be as the noonday: 11 And the LORD shall guide thee continually, and satisfy thy soul in drought, and make fat thy bones: and thou shalt be like a watered garden, and like a spring of water, whose waters fail not.
Ephesians 2:10 For we are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus unto good works, which God hath before ordained that we should walk in them.
