Grumpiness and Complaining should not be a way of life for Christians. It weakens us and our testimony and drives others away from us and from our Saviour.
Nehemiah 8:10b the joy of the LORD is your strength.
1 Thessalonians 5:16 Rejoice evermore. 17 Pray without ceasing.
2 Corinthians 6:10 As sorrowful, yet alway rejoicing; as poor, yet making many rich; as having nothing, and yet possessing all things.
Philippians 4:4 Rejoice in the Lord alway: and again I say, Rejoice.
Romans 12:12 Rejoicing in hope; patient in tribulation; continuing instant in prayer;
Luke 10:20 Notwithstanding in this rejoice not, that the spirits are subject unto you; but rather rejoice, because your names are written in heaven.
Luke 18:1 And he spake a parable unto them to this end, that men ought always to pray, and not to faint;
Ephesians 6:18 Praying always with all prayer and supplication in the Spirit, and watching thereunto with all perseverance and supplication for all saints;
Psalm 121:8 The LORD shall preserve thy going out and thy coming in from this time forth, and even for evermore.
1 Peter 4:13 But rejoice, inasmuch as ye are partakers of Christ's sufferings; that, when his glory shall be revealed, ye may be glad also with exceeding joy.
Psalm 16:11 Thou wilt shew me the path of life: in thy presence is fulness of joy; at thy right hand there are pleasures for evermore.
Galatians 5:22 But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, gentleness, goodness, faith, 23 Meekness, temperance: against such there is no law.
When we don’t have joy we are obviously not completely filled with the Spirit. These passages don’t leave any time or room for grumpiness or complaining do they?
