Acts 15:7-9: And when there had been much disputing, Peter rose up, and said unto them, Men and brethren, ye know how that a good while ago God made choice among us, that the Gentiles by my mouth should hear the word of the gospel, and believe. 8 And God, which knoweth the hearts, bare them witness, giving them the Holy Ghost, even as he did unto us; 9 And put no difference between us and them, purifying their hearts by faith.
Matthew 5:8: Blessed are the pure in heart: for they shall see God.
The Bible is the lens that will help clear up our spiritual myopia and help us to perceive in a greater way the changes that God has wrought in us so that we might have a greater delight in them.
The more a Christian reads and studies the Bible the more he will know about the changes that God has wrought in him. The more a Christian knows about the changes God has wrought in Him the more secure and fruitful he will be. And the more he will be able recognize and enjoy the eternal life that is in him here and now.
John 10:10b: . . . I am come that they might have life, and that they might have it more abundantly.
Galatians 2:20: I am crucified with Christ: nevertheless I live; yet not I, but Christ liveth in me: and the life which I now live in the flesh I live by the faith of the Son of God, who loved me, and gave himself for me.
Romans 8:9 But ye are not in the flesh, but in the Spirit, if so be that the Spirit of God dwell in you. Now if any man have not the Spirit of Christ, he is none of his.
