Lost sinners hear a Bible passage, believe it and get saved.
Romans 10:17 So then faith cometh by hearing, and hearing by the word of God.
The passages are often different for different individuals. My particular passage was Ephesians 2:8-9 For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God: 9 Not of works, lest any man should boast.
For some their passage is John 3:16, for some John 1:12, for most a combination of different passages. Without His help we could not provide the passages others need. Without His help we could not find those who He has prepared for salvation. Only He can bring together an open-hearted person and the right witness and provide the right passages, at the right time and right place.
Acts 16:14 And a certain woman named Lydia, a seller of purple, of the city of Thyatira, which worshipped God, heard us: whose heart the Lord opened, that she attended unto the things which were spoken of Paul.
Only God could open Lydia’s heart, give her an interest in what Paul said and bring them together at the right time and place. Only God could arrange the light from Heaven that blinded Paul and reversed the course of his life. (Acts 9:1-6). Every facet of salvation is ordered and given unto us by God’s divine power.
2 Peter 1:3 According as his divine power hath given unto us all things that pertain unto life and godliness, through the knowledge of him that hath called us to glory and virtue:
Jonah 2:9b Salvation is of the LORD.
