Two Kinds Of Life 12

How does salvation happen to us?

Acts 2:21 And it shall come to pass, that whosoever shall call on the name of the Lord shall be saved.

Romans 10:13 For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved.

That is a simple prayer in which we ask Jesus to come and live in our hearts, put eternal life in our hearts and make us the people He wants us to be, new creatures who have eternal life. It is giving yourself and your heart to God to make of you the person He wants you to be.

2 Corinthians 5:17 Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new.

Ephesians 2:8 For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God: 9 Not of works, lest any man should boast. 10 For we are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus unto good works, which God hath before ordained that we should walk in them.

Philippians 2:12 Wherefore, my beloved, as ye have always obeyed, not as in my presence only, but now much more in my absence, work out your own salvation with fear and trembling. 13 For it is God which worketh in you both to will and to do of his good pleasure.

Philippians 1:6 Being confident of this very thing, that he which hath begun a good work in you will perform it until the day of Jesus Christ:

Here is a wise prayer: Lord Jesus, I receive you as my Saviour and my Lord. Come into my heart and make me the person you want me to be and help me to live the life that you want me to live.
