Christians and their lives are different because God makes them different. Shortly after I received Christ a Christian I worked with saw something different about me. I had said nothing about my new-found faith. I don’t recall what we talked about except that it was not about my faithl. After a while she said: “I knew it! I knew it! There is a peace about you and you are a Christian.” Sometimes the Holy Spirit speaks even when we don’t. I’ve had similar conversations with others. I have unsaved friends and relatives that have been angry at me and separated from me since the day I got saved who didn’t even know that I had become saved. Believers are drawn to one another and find one another. God is at work in that. No one else could orchestrate that sort of thing. There is often friction between believers and unbelievers. They are traveling in opposite spiritual directions. Dr. Bob Cook told about a young boy that received Christ. A few days later a neighbor boy asked him what happened to you? You are different. He hadn’t spoken about his new-found faith. The little boy explained the difference this way “The week before I wanted to hit him with a 2X4 but now I don’t.”
2 Corinthians 2:14 Now thanks be unto God, which always causeth us to triumph in Christ, and maketh manifest the savour of his knowledge by us in every place. 15 For we are unto God a sweet savour of Christ, in them that are saved, and in them that perish: 16 To the one we are the SAVOUR OF DEATH UNTO DEATH; and to the other the SAVOUR OF LIFE UNTO LIFE. And who is sufficient for these things?
Ephesians 2:11 Wherefore remember, . . . 12 That at that time ye were without Christ, being aliens from the commonwealth of Israel, and strangers from the covenants of promise, having no hope, and without God in the world: 13 But now in Christ Jesus ye who sometimes were far off are made nigh by the blood of Christ. 14 For he is our peace, who hath made both one, and hath broken down the middle wall of partition between us; 15 Having abolished in his flesh the enmity, even the law of commandments contained in ordinances; for to make in himself of twain one new man, so making peace; 16 And that he might reconcile both unto God in one body by the cross, having slain the enmity thereby: 17 And came and preached peace to you which were afar off, and to them that were nigh. 18 For through him we both have access by one Spirit unto the Father.
1 John 1:3 That which we have seen and heard declare we unto you, that ye also may have fellowship with us: and truly our fellowship is with the Father, and with his Son Jesus Christ.
2 Corinthians 6:14 . . what fellowship hath righteousness with unrighteousness? and what communion hath light with darkness?
